Outreach Officer 101 Trainings
Good Evening,
With convention season officially underway and many units electing new officers, I am pleased to announce that I will be facilitating Outreach Officer 101: Basics & Overview trainings on the third Thursday of each month through May. These sessions will help newly elected Outreach & Inclusion Officers (and Vice Chairs in units without Outreach Officers) understand their roles, authority, and effective strategies for success.
The training prepares participants to meet the formal expectations set by DFL governing documents, with a focus on inclusive leadership and practical examples from units statewide. The goal is to ensure that newly elected Outreach Officers (or returning Outreach Officers who may want a refresher) can hit the ground running with confidence and be ready to lead intentional, inclusive organizing in their communities. You can register for any of the training sessions by clicking this link.
This training has been requested for some time, and I am grateful to the members of the Outreach & Inclusion Committee who worked with me to bring it together.
As always, feel free to share this information with anyone who may be interested, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification.
