I want to acknowledge the ongoing grief felt across our party and the state of Minnesota. These past few days have been some of the heaviest in our lives, and I hope you're finding time to rest, reflect, and connect with others, not just this weekend but in the coming weeks and months. Please know that you are not alone as we continue the important work of our party forward.

 

Below you'll find a few important updates from the Outreach and Inclusion Committee:

 

  Outreach and Inclusion Committee Meeting

 

The Outreach and Inclusion Committee will now meet regularly on the second Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM. Our next meeting is Sunday, July 13, at 6:00 PM. These meetings are open to anyone, but we will obviously focus on the Outreach and Inclusion Committee business.

Statewide Outreach Officer Call – Info on July Call Coming Soon

 

We're also planning our next Statewide Outreach Officer Call for later in July—please look for more details soon. This call will gather information about Outreach Officers' important work and efforts and identify the additional support necessary to enhance our shared work moving forward.

 

Appointing Additional Committee Members

 

We're looking to recommend new members for appointment to the Outreach and Inclusion Committee to ensure that historically underrepresented communities are at the table as we shape this work. If you know someone who would bring valuable lived experience or perspective to the committee—or if that person is you—please submit a recommendation here.

 

The Outreach Officer makes these appointments, which are confirmed by the State Executive Committee at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

 

Join the New DFL Accessibility Subcommittee

 

We're building a new Accessibility Subcommittee to help make our party more inclusive for people with disabilities, seniors, and anyone facing barriers to participation. This group will work on best practices, venue recommendations, and structural improvements for accessibility across the DFL. We're looking for folks with lived experience, professional expertise, and geographic diversity from all 8 congressional districts. If you're interested in shaping this work, please fill out this interest form.
