DFL Mentoring Project

Dear DFLers,

I'm excited to share a new initiative from our Outreach & Inclusion Committee: the DFL Mentoring Project, a pilot initiative to cultivate relationships, share knowledge, and help develop the future of our party from within.

This project pairs experienced DFL activists with newer members who are eager to learn and lead. Our goal is to provide structured, intentional support for individuals who wish to deepen their activism within the DFL. Here's how it works:

  • We're aiming to match at least 10 mentors and 10 mentees for our first class.

  • Participants will receive orientation training, materials, and meet once per month (virtually or in person).

  • Mentors will provide guidance, context, and encouragement. Mentees will gain access to networks, skills, and deeper involvement in party work.

Whether you're a longtime leader or just getting involved, this is a chance to help sustainably grow our party. Apply to be a mentor or mentee using the links below:

Please share this with your network and consider signing up yourself — we hope to launch this program later this summer. As always, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

In solidarity,

Quentin Ocama

Outreach Officer, Minnesota DFL
